I’ve fallen off the bandwagon of trying to do a “currently” post at the 1st of each month. It’s turned into more of a “every few months when I have time and something to write about” post. Woops! Sometimes I have lots to say, and sometimes I have nothing… or at least nothing I think…
Most photographers end the year with their “Best of…” posts. “Best of engagements 2012″ or “Best of weddings 2012″… well, sorry to say, I won’t be doing that. I had hoped this year I would get around to doing a couple re-cap posts like that, but alas I cannot… as I am still editing three…

Last weekend was the first weekend in 6 months that I didn’t have a session… I’m right in between my wedding “season” (summer and fall weddings are all shot, some still needing to be edited, and then 2 more to shoot in December before the year is done!) and thought it would be the perfect…
Today, after a lovely family session and then delivering photos to a client, I got a little lost on my drive back and took the long way home… through the country, in the rain, past the farms, along the winding roads… and pulled over when I saw this: and I couldn’t help but stand there…
Indeed.. I do love the country here as well as dreary days that end in golden light.
