The Demers’ // Abbotsford Family Photographer

When Justine asked me to take her family photos… my first reaction was “WHAT?! Are you serious?” You see, if you don’t already know, Justine is a hugely successful and talented photographer. Heard of Justine Russo Photography? Yup. I’m sure you have. That’s her. :) She also happens to be one of my closest friends,…

Avery Belle // Chilliwack Newborn Photographer

I don’t do a lot of newborn photography… it’s definitely something I shy away from… actually, to be honest, it scares me! You can’t tell a baby to smile… you can’t tell it how to pose… you just have to go with it! Haha! [insert nervous laugh here]… BUT lucky for me, when I showed…

The Stewart’s // Abbotsford Family Photographer

I got to spend a crisp, sunny fall afternoon with this beautiful family. Lucky me, right? Families like this… it’s no wonder I love what I do :) When Melissa contacted me for some family photos, I was ecstatic! Melissa and I went to high school together, and the last time I really saw her…

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Jesse has been asking for these for a while. Which is odd. He never asks for baking. In fact, I used to bake all the time, but after we got married, I stopped… as he never wanted baking in the house. Weird, right? Most husbands WANT baking! Well… not this one. He’s a health nut,…

Corinna - Hey Tanis,

I made your recipe this weekend, and here are my comments:

1. I subbed out 1/2 cup of the oats, and instead put in 1/4 cup chia seeds, and 1/4 cup flax seeds. Gave it more interesting texture… recommend.

2. After the first dozen were in the oven, I taste the dough and thought it wasn’t sweet enough, so I added 1/2 cup brown sugar. The rest of the cookies totally melted on the pan… like when 12 cookies become 1 giant cookie that you have to cut apart when it comes outta the oven. So don’t be adding sugar to this recipe if you want the cookies to look like the ones in the picture. The chocolate chips make them totally sweet enough on their own.

3. I might think about adding an extra banana next time. 2 cups of butter is an awful lot for one little banana to cope with!

Hope that helps.
